    Description

Zoot Suit is a play written and directed by Luis Valdez, first performed at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, California, based on events that took place partly at that very site when it was a Chicano Barrio.  Playing one of the lead characters
    El Pachuco
    was Edward James Olmos
    .
The world premier was in April 1978 with a run of 10 days.  A second run would be performed at the Aquarius Theater, also in Los Angles, beginning  August 1978.  Both runs were sold out quickly.  These are considered the world premier for the play, which went to Broadway the next year performed at the Winter Garden Theater beginning March 1979. *
For sale are the Souvenir Program for performances at the Aquarius Theater, and the program for the actual performance.
