WWI IMPERIAL GERMAN COLONIAL ELEPHANT BADGE

Description

This is a fine First World War Imperial German Colonial ‘Elephant’ badge in excellent condition. It is constructed of die struck nickel-silver alloy and exhibits sharp relief and crisp detail. The bright silver finish is now with an attractive age toned patina. It is marked on the reverse side with, ‘GES GESCHÜTZT’ and ‘Nr. 33992’. The original pin assembly is expertly silver soldered in place and remains fully functional. The badge measures 1½ inches in diameter and is a beautiful example in excellent, undamaged condition.
