    Description

    This is a very nice First World War I 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class on its original ribbon that remains in excellent condition. The stove black finish to the iron center of this cross is extremely fine. The crown, letter “W” and the “1914” date, as is the “FW” oak leaves and “1813” date on the reverse retain all the black finish. The raised serrated bead running around the outside of the cross is nicely detail. There is no separation to the frame. The ring in nicely marked, “K.A.G.” for a maker that remains unknown. The cross is suspended from a nice length of original ribbon and remains a fine example of the classic First World War Imperial Prussian award for heroism.
