WWI GERMAN PRUSSIAN IRON CROSS 2nd CLASS ON ORIGINAL RIBBON - MARKED '800' & CD

Description

This is a fine First World War 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class on a nice length of original ribbon that remains in excellent condition. The iron center of both the obverse and reverse of this cross is with virtually all the of the original stove black finish. There is no rust or damage to this piece whatsoever. The silver frame has a very well-defined beading running around the raised edge and is with an attractive age toned patina. The jumper ring is marked with the silver content number, ‘800’, and ‘CD’ indicating manufacture by the Carl Dilenius firm of Pforzheim. It remains a fine-looking example in excellent condition.
