WWI GERMAN 1914 IRON CROSS/SAXON FRIEDRICH AUGUST MEDAL 3-PLACE MEDAL BAR

Description

This is a nice First World War German 1914 Iron Cross 2 Class 3-Place Medal Bar that is in excellent condition. The bar consists of the 1914 Prussian Iron Cross 2nd Class, the Saxon Silver Friedrich August medal for combatant, and the 1914-1918 Hindenburg Honor Cross with swords for combatant. The Iron Cross and Friedrich August medals are parade mounted on clean, thinly padded, double draped ribbons. The Hindenburg Cross has been tailor added to the medal bar and is without any stiffening at the rear. The reverse of the Iron Cross and Friedrich August Medal are faced with charcoal gray wool that is hand sewn to the bar. The Hindenburg Cross is without facing. The bar measures 3¾ inches in length and with functional pin and catch assemblies. A nice looking medal bar that remains in excellent condition.
