WW1 Hindenburg Cross w Award Document Duisberg Named Medal & Document! Up for sale is a very neat and historic little set! This set appears to be a original WW1 Hindenburg Cross (noncombatant cross) or honour cross as the germans called it. It comes with the original document which makes it an attributed set. The medal is a stunning quality bronze example marked on the reverse to maker N&H( Noelle & Hueck). A stunning example..the Document is named to Sattler Ernst Meier from Duisburg Meiderich. Sattler is Saddler in english so i am assuming he was a WW1 saddle maker and thus how he earned the noncombatant cross! Horse were still a common part of ww1 so this makes a lot of sense! The document is also signed by a high ranking german! Some saltiness and wear to the document but overall a scarce piece of history!
