is silver color and awarded for being wounded three or four times, or suffering loss of a hand, foot or eye from hostile action (also partial loss of hearing), facial disfigurement or brain damage via hostile action. The badge is stamped, cut-out backed type and retains excellent detail throughout. It has a laurel leaf wreath around the borders whose interior has a pebbled surface. There are crossed swords with super-imposed helmet. The pin is a pointed straight round style. The badge’s obverse retains most of its original silver color while the reverse shows some oxidation. It is non-magnetic.

is black color and awarded for those wounded once or twice by hostile action. The black wound badge is the stamped, cut-out backed type and retains excellent detail throughout. The badge is oval shape and has a border wreath of overlapping oak leaves. In the center there is a pair of crossed swords and a helmet. The pin is the straight pointed style. The badge retains most of its original black color. It is non-magnetic.
