Vintage Steiff Cosy Elephant "Trampy" 1968-1978 6" tall, 12" trunk tip to tail
Trampy, the little elephant was one of Steiff's Cosy toys, meant to be cuddled. It is softer and fluffier than Steiff's traditional mohair toys. It is surface washable, also, which appealed to parents.
This Trampy has stayed in good condition and still stands on its own. The tags are gone but the silver toned button is still in his left ear. I did an initial light cleaning to remove dust accumulated in storage and the pink undertones to his belly look great. Real baby elephants are fuzzy and cute as can be; Trampy is close competition!
