Vintage Steiff "Tom" Black Velvet Halloween Cat, Arched Back, Tiny Size
This tiny kitty is ready for whatever the world sends his way! His back is arched, he's ready to spit and hiss his way into your heart. Made of black velvet with a fluffy tail and green eyes he is a classic Steiff toy from the 1950s-1976. He stands barely 3" tall to the top of his arched back, 4.5" tall if you count his raised tail.
This "Tom" is the smallest of the series of cats of this pattern. I think the ID number is
7407 but the tags and ear button are missing. The cat still has all its whiskers and eyebrows. The velvet is a little faded but is in good overall condition. The tiny green glass eyes seem to follow you. The stitched mouth and nose are intact. The kitty even has its original ribbon though it has faded to a brownish color.
