Highest Imperial German Medal in WW I
The medal is made of
solid silver
and is
real gilded
.
It has signs of use and patina, but it is in a very good condition!
Enamelled on both sides without damages.
Real Glass enamel - bulbous form.
The eagles and the golden inscriptions are detailled and filigree.
The ribbon is somewhat worn out and a little bit dirty.
Surely the medal is not an awarded piece, rather a so-called second piece
or a jewelers production for survivors.
Probably of the 30s or 40s.
Very rare and precious medal.
In this form very hard to find!
