    Description

    Original 4 Place pre WWI Bavaria German Medal Bar for 1870 War with France MISSING 2 Pieces.  The missing pieces have Ribbons that show they were the early Bavarian Military Merit Order and the Bavarian Prince Regent Jubilee.  Still present are the German Medal for Combat in the 1870-1871 War with France, this is the official issue type with writing in German around the edge, plus & an Official issue Fullsize (40 mm) King of Prussia and first German Kaiser Wilhelm I Century Medal, issued in 1897 on the 100th anniversary of the Kaiser's Birth and awarded to all Veterans of the Kaiser's Campaigns.  The Bronze for both of these Medals are made from Captured Enemy Cannon from the Campaigns,  The Medal Bar and its Ribbons are original but very Worn (SEE SCANS).  The Medal Bar has a hook for 4 Medals as well as 4 hooks the other direction for uniform attachment.
