*** Original German Tank Fight Badge WW 1 ***in case jeweler Godet from Berlin
************************************************
You are bidding on an exceptionally rare WW1 German Tank Fight Badge. The German Empire had no tanks of its own during World War I, apart from a few prototype tanks of the Type A 7 V. However, in 1917 many British Mark V tanks that were captured were used on the German side. Many cavalrymen volunteered for the young German tank gun because they were completely useless in World War I.
The insignia of the Prussian cavalry was the skull, see also the picture of august von mackensen, a Prussian field marshal. The skull and crossbones of the Prussian hussars was adopted as the insignia on the badge. Furthermore, the badge shows a tank for the new weapon. The badge was used for a long time and was only replaced by the legendary tank fight badges of the German Wehrmacht.
Really wonderful badge, you will love it! Please look at the beautiful photos. Your collection of German Tank Fight Badges is not complete without this badge. Enclosed is a nice case from the manufacturer Godet Berlin, slight signs of wear and in nice condition.
PLEASE no bids from China due to the Corona measures in China, please do not bid!!
