Description
This medal was awarded between the years 1934 and 1940 to the German fighters who had fought in the First World War.This is the Bronze Cross of Honor with bronze swords, which was created by a decree of the German President Marshal Paul Von Hindenburg on July 13, 1934, and was granted on behalf of the German Chancellor.
The medal was given to those who were frontline soldiers during the First War, and was used during World War II by those veterans in their uniforms as a symbol of their combat experience. Attached is a photo, not included in the sale, where a veteran of World War I is seen, wearing the uniform of a lieutenant of the German army, during the beginning of World War II, and with this Medal together With the famous Iron Cross.
