    Description

    Civil War Document
Civil War CSA hand made requisition for 30 days forage for horse (probably his), March 1864, done by Lt. Col S (amuel). H. Sanders, promoted 4 times, wounded in action at Chancellorsviile, wounded at Winchester VA, and possibly Petersburg as noted in one of the write ups, signed twice by him.  Transferred into the 37th VA Infantry (possibly for 3rd wound), In hospital at least twice, 6x9 inches, docket on back, bit different to see a form like this hand done, rag paper, 5 different kinds of forage.   Very nice, overall fine with vertical fold in middle.
