Authentic Civil War Soldier ID'd and Signed Cottage Bible, Petersburg KIA Lt. E.B Hall. The bible is signed by Halls' hand. The photo isn't in this auction unfortunately. That was sold separately before I bought this. This book came from a well known book collector's collection. Hall was killed in action at the Battle of Petersburg in the 1st Connecticut Heavy Artillery Unit. The photos pretty much sum everything up well on this one.
I am selling half of my collection that consists of the more rare items I've bought from every major war. I've spent 7 years collecting the most rare items I could find from reputable dealers, auctions, direct from descendants of soldiers and direct from diggers that pulled them out of the ground. It's time for me to scale down my collection. Most of my items come with provenance in the form of letters from diggers and descendants, COA's, LOA's or notes. I combine shipping and accept returns for any reason. Many of the items on ebay are so fake they are laughable. My listings are all genuine and hopefully a breath of fresh air to buyers. I ship USPS Priority. My shipping fees may be slightly higher than others but that's because I get the items to you in 2-3 days with insurance. But I can tell you I ALWAYS end up paying more for shipping than I charge because Priority is expensive but worth it. I've sold over 400 items and have NEVER received negative feedback for the reasons stated above. I will do my best to get most shipments out within 24 hours...and I usually do unless it's on a weekend because the post office in Billings is closed on the weekends.
