    Description

    A really nice example of Volume I of Neal O'Connor's series of books on the aviation awards of Imperial Germany.  This first volume was printed in much smaller numbers than the later volumes and is extremely hard to find, especially in this condition.  This covers the awards of the Kingdom of Bavaria with chapters on the Military Max-Joseph Order, the Military Merit Order, the Gold and Silver Bravery Medals and the Military Merit Cross.  It includes tons of photos of the awards and documents, the recipients with biographies, history and statistics of the awards and a lot of general information on WWI Bavarian aviators.  It is softcover, 8-1/2" by 11" and 176 pages.  It has a personal note to the original owner from Neal O'Connor inside the front cover.  It appears to have seen little use.
