    Namji doll from Nigeria. Old piece over 40 years old. Piece on plinth.
    Dowayo and Namji are one people.
    Dowayo is the contraction of two words Doyo (human, man) and Woyo (child, nephew). Wa-Yo translates to son and daughter.
    All these combinations allow to translate Dowayo by child of man or human being, or son of man.
    The name of Namji / Namchi comes from the Peul and means "we have stopped grinding, grinding".
    The name Namchi also encompasses other small ethnic groups such as the Koma, Bata, Papé ...
    There are two types of dolls:
