A 19th C French Military Drummer by Georges Omerth

A French Military Drummer in the uniform of the French Army of the later 19th Century
The base is signed H. Tremo which is the manner in which the French artist Georges Omerth, signed, spelling his name backwards.
Omerth regularly exhibited at the Gallery of French Artists in the 1883 - 1890 period and was active as late as 1925.
The well sculpted face and the faithful rendering of the uniform and kit of the Drummer suggests that Omerth is making a Patriotic statement.
The statue is crafted in spelter with a bronze finish. There are a few small cracks in the base which is slightly
warped
