    Description

    This is an February 12, 1862 Civil War Special Requisition form # 40 for 83 pairs of socks the 3rd New York Cavalry at Camp Bates near Poolsville, MD.     Signed by Capt. C G Van Reypen and Simon Mix, Lt Col (mortally wounded at Petersburg in 1864).   Overall very good/excellent condition.   Look for the other Civil War paper we are listing to combine shipping.
